In this time of crisis, Humboldt County is truly a special place with special people.
To show our gratitude, REDWOOD NEWS would like to use our broadcasting voice to share positive and useful information from businesses, non-profit organizations and leading community members to inform and share hopeful messages to our viewers.
We’ve created a feature news segment titled REDWOOD STRONG to air during newscasts and throughout the broadcast day on KIEM NBC3 and KVIQ Redwood CBS.
This :60 segment is provided for you to broadcast a video recorded note to residents in Humboldt and Del Norte counties sharing the operating status of your business or organization and the services you can provide at this time. Plus, it gives you a chance to provide a hopeful message to our community. Along with broadcasting on our daily newscasts, we will share this goodwill Public Service message throughout our programming on KIEM and KVIQ, on our Redwood News website and Facebook page.

As a reader service, and to help our local businesses during this crucial time, the Times-Standard has compiled a list of Humboldt County restaurants that remain open for takeout and/or delivery. This list includes the name, location and phone number of each restaurant, and will be published in the Saturday, April 4 edition of the Times-Standard, with subsequent publications of the list the following week.
