Megan Kenney
Megan Kenny is a passionate advocate for local food systems, agricultural sustainability, and community resilience. As the Director of Harvest Hub, she works to expand access to critical food infrastructure in Humboldt County, including cold storage and distribution systems that support small farmers and food producers. She oversees the Harvest Box program, a multi-farm CSA-style produce box, and the Farm-to-Freezer project, which provides essential freezer space for North Coast Growers Association members. Her work ensures that small farms have the resources they need to thrive while increasing the community’s access to fresh, locally grown food.
Beyond her role at Harvest Hub, Megan is deeply engaged in regional food security efforts. She serves as the co-chair of the Food Access Working Group in the Humboldt COAD and is a registered and certified Trainer with the Produce Safety Alliance through Cornell University. Her commitment to strengthening Humboldt County’s food system has been recognized with numerous accolades, including being named 2022 Farmers' Market Champion of the Year by the Community Alliance with Family Farmers. She is also a 2023 graduate of the Food Systems Leadership Cohort and Leadership Redwood Coast.
As a board member of Humboldt Made, Megan brings invaluable expertise in food security, small business support, and nonprofit development.
