Charlene Cook - Program Director

Charlene Cook is a dedicated advocate for small business growth, an entrepreneur, and a community leader in Humboldt County. As the owner and operator of Fringe & Clay, she has been an integral part of the Humboldt County small business community for the past six years, creating handmade goods that reflect the region’s artistic and entrepreneurial spirit. Her firsthand experience in business ownership, branding, and marketing gives her a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities faced by local makers and entrepreneurs.

With a degree in Social Science and Marketing, Charlene combines strategic planning, outreach, and business development to support Humboldt County’s growing network of small businesses. She also serves on the Board of the Arcata Chamber of Commerce, where she works to strengthen community partnerships and advocate for local entrepreneurs.

As Program Director of Humboldt Made, Charlene plays a key role in developing initiatives, fostering collaborations, and providing resources that empower local businesses.
